Gondolier Pizza and Italian Restaurant Review: A Delicious Experience in Sevierville, Tennessee

Hello everyone, Steven Veronica Kibler here! Today, we're visiting Gondolier Pizza and Italian Restaurant in Sevierville, Tennessee. Join us for lunch as we explore this popular spot.

Getting There

We're headed to the corner of Veterans Boulevard and Dolly Parton Parkway. On our way, we pass some happy cows enjoying the warm summer day. Despite the saying about California cows, these Tennessee cows seem quite content!

Exploring the Local Attractions

As we approach Gondolier, we pass several attractions that draw many visitors to the area. This includes some fun summer slides where folks can cool off. The parkway is bustling with activity—people fishing, camping, and enjoying the great outdoors.

Arriving at Gondolier Pizza and Italian Restaurant

Located in a convenient shopping center just past Veterans Boulevard, Gondolier offers plenty of parking, making it an easy stop for a meal. Initially, we thought this was a local mom-and-pop place, but later discovered it's a franchise with about 30 locations across Tennessee and neighboring states like Kentucky and Georgia.

The Dining Experience

We were here for lunch but ordered dinner plates to get a sense of their portions. We received some local recommendations on what to try, and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals.

Starters

The meal began with warm breadsticks topped with garlic and Parmesan, served with a side of marinara sauce. The breadsticks were tender and delicious, especially when dipped in the rich, homemade marinara sauce.

Salads

I ordered a Greek salad with a delicious dressing that included feta cheese, oregano, lemon juice, garlic, black pepper, and olive oil. The salad was fresh, with sweet red onions and juicy tomatoes, making for a very satisfying starter.

Main Courses

Our main dishes arrived promptly, a bit too quickly for our liking, as we were still enjoying our salads. Nonetheless, we made do and sampled a variety of dishes.

  • Tour of Italy: This included manicotti, lasagna, and chicken parmesan. The portions were generous, and the flavors were excellent, particularly the chicken parmesan.
  • Spaghetti with Meat Sauce: The spaghetti was cooked perfectly, and the meat sauce was rich and flavorful.
  • Chicken Linguini: This dish featured linguini noodles with sautéed chicken breast, fresh garlic, scallions, mushrooms, lemon juice, and a dash of wine. The lemon sauce was bright and complemented the earthy mushrooms and tender chicken perfectly.

Desserts and Other Offerings

While we didn't try the desserts this time, they looked enticing. Gondolier offers a wide range of options, including pizzas, gyros, burgers, and seafood, ensuring there's something for everyone.

Final Thoughts

We had a wonderful lunch at Gondolier Italian Restaurant. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the variety on the menu was impressive. If you're in Sevierville, Tennessee, or nearby, we highly recommend stopping by.
